Mantrailing - die VP/ Mantrailing - the runner

Heute mal wieder einige Beobachtungen aus dem Bereich Mantrailing. Wenn Ihr das selbst schon ein paar Mal gemacht habt, beschleicht Euch vielleicht auch dieses seltsame Gefühl...
Man wird argwöhnisch beobachtet, fühlt sich unwohl oder in Erklärungsnot was man denn da Seltsames macht. Man kommt in seltsame Gegenden und wird angesprochen ob man Hilfe braucht oder im Gegenteil, dass man macht dass man wegkommt.
Some obversation concerning mantrailing. If you have done this already several times you might also have this strange feeling..
People are looking at you in a strange way, you feel you have to explain what you are doing or why you are behaving quite particularly. You end up in spooky places and are asked if you need help or that you go away at once.
Wir hatten das auch vor einiger Zeit einmal. Die Traillegerin war etwas sauer da sich die VP (= Versteckperson) vom ursprünglich vereinbarten Ort entfernt hat. Sollte man normalerweise auch nicht machen, aber oft gibt es einen Grund. In diesem Fall war er zwischen einigen Autos und plötzlich bewegten sich Menschenmengen in diesem Bereich und er wollte nicht, dass irgend jemand meinte, er hätte es auf die Autos abgesehen.
We had this some time ago. The one who had set the trail was pissed off because the runner had gone away from the place they had originally agreed upon. You shouldn't do that usually, but there was a reason. In this case he was between cars and then a crowd of people came along and he didn't want them to think that he wanted to do something to the cars.
Das hat mich damals dazu bewegt, in einer Gruppe auf Facebook eine kleine Umfrage zu starten, was den anderen bereits alles passiert ist.
Ich selbst mache es so, dass ich gleich erkläre was Mantrailing ist, sobald mich jemand schief oder besorgt anschaut. So habe ich dann gleich mein Verhalten erklärt und gleichzeitig etwas dafür getan, dass dieser Sport noch etwas bekannter wird.
So I wanted to ask people in a mantrailing group on facebook what had happened to them.
I usually explain at once what mantrailing is, as soon as somebody looks at me in a suspicious or worried way. So I explain my behavior and do my share for some information about this sport.

I hid in the paper garbage can. Had to close the lid just leaving a little slot. Was nearly dying of apprehension because somebody came near me to throw away their paper. Luckily he took the container beside me.

Runner stood in the doorway at a wall, holding the treat box. One resident passed by and put him a coin on it.
Somebody gave me coffee.

I was lying on a low wall behind a bench and people asked if I was well, already wanted to call emergency.
Then there were also ugly scenes where people ranted that I couldn't stand there.
Sometimes for better, sometimes fo worse. Unfortunately somebody always comes to inform themselves when the searching dog is in sight.
1. Have been denounced as a peeper to the police 2. have once been nearly beaten up because I sat behind a car 3. Looked over the wall with my smartphone when the team will be arriving - then saw that behind the wall there was a kindergarten.

Highlight: panic inhabitants with flash lights who already had called the police because there are people passing by with head lamps. Answer of the police: Oh it's you!
Coffee and doctor have been offered to me
Still waiting until they give me a piece of Sunday cake from the window.

 Wie man sieht - mit Hund wird es nie langweilig, manchmal sogar gefährlich, aber meistens lustig und unterhaltend.

You see - it never gets boring with dogs and it could even be dangerous, but most of the time just funny and entertaining.
