Finally we have been mantrailing again - high time - and I came too. My kids have a little more experience than I have but you shouldn' t underestimate me. When we arrived - we came late as always - the others were already on tour. No problem, so we made some ball games in the park. After our long break trailing wasn't really easy. We trained searching for things regularly. Aurora is already at a higher level - no problem for her to find a ball in a closed drawer and get it out. Alpha loves the rope and I let the kids search and relax. When it is about throwing and catching the ball - I am still the fastest one.
Alpha wasn't really concentrated but got it right in the end. Then it was my turn. In the beginning a bit confused, put in some agility too, walking on the large stones. When I found the hidden person, I just got part of the jack pot, the rest was saved for two more motivation trails. The person ran away and hid again. I started like a rocket then, I clearly had to hunt for the rest of my jack pot.
Aurora started well, was called back by the one who prepared the trail. A pity, because she was already on the right track. Oh well, the other person was a bit mad at us, or rather our dad. He had gone away from the hiding place originally planned because there had been lots of people and other dogs. He didn't feel very well there, also having to explain what he is doing there. This situation happens quite offen because it may seem strange to other people when a single grown-up person is standing around house entrances or between two cars. So he went under a tree and called us that he had changed places. However the dog found him and he was rather experienced. So we did trailing with support and then a kind of small double blind. Dog and handler liked it anyway, only the ego of the person preparing the trail was a bit scratched at her ego. However maybe this kind of trail could also be an alternative for a more experienced dog.
Then we went for a walk, swimming and in the beer garden, great day and great weather!
We had a funny encounter also. A woman came with her bike and announced that they were with a dog. Then she said :" male or female?" "Both" we said. Her husband passed again at our table after this. He had just seen one of us in this moment and was totally astonished that this intersex stuff exists with dogs too, already.

Hey guys, this time I - Mom Sissi - went to the city as office assistant. This was really due for some time. I followed Alpha's trail. First on the meadow in front of the train station - there we met the labrador lady again who already played with my son. The conversation of the humans got a bit strange in the end. The labrador dad said that we are called Grifone in Italy and that we are hunting wild boars in north italy - never heard of that, nor did my humans ever. Have a look at some Grifone information, we googled that. Then we went on the train to Stuttgart. I was good as always - at least I didn't put my muddy paw on my human's clothes all the time. On the other hand: this odor of fresh buns and the rustling of bags was highly interesting for me. I don't know if you know, but I love to eat. Then I somehow knew at once where my working place is - it was the first time but maybe I smelled the particles of Claudia who had been there just the day before.
After my office duties I went to the homeopathic-practitioner-seminar as test dog. Took some time until they found out that I had a little problem with the ears and a slight muscle tension - Maybe because they were afraid to touch me in the beginning although I was so nice and patient. Then I got a great massage from three different people and they told me I might have muscle soreness the day after that.

Hundetag 2017- Dog Day 2017
This time we had a private dog day with our local Schnauzer-Pinscher group. We had the multipurpose hall in Unterriexingen and did some show training. Then we had a hurdle-trick-parcours and rally obedience. Some brought their grooming tables and the dog became even more beautiful then before.
Funny example that not only Schnauzers are encrouching. "You have a hair in your face" was the exclamation before one human went in the face of the other with the dog scissors to cut it.
I - your Alpha - was on site, too.
By the way, just learned something from fantastic author Bill Bryson. Before I would have written "Me, your Alpha". In the meantime I have learned that this isn't correct English.
So, I was on site too, and of course I am always the first to lift my paws when they are asking "who wants to come". I must say, I behaved quite well. Sometimes I barked when the little squeekies started, but generally I kept a low profile and let everybody pet me. Ava, the pepper-salt Giant was there, too. She is even more of a stalker than me and kisses people without asking first. That's just how we are, if you don't like that, get a dog which doesn't need so much body contact.
Then our Dad came with Aurora, she got a nice hair-do, but since everybody was already putting stuff together, we had to do the rest at home.
I enhanced my just starting friendship with Camillo. I somehow have to get used to these small cheeky dogs. His Mom says, that I can be with them when the girls are in heat. However, this will only happen when we both are friends.
Of course I did the trick-parcours and the rally obedience. First with Claudia and then with dog handler Paul. He did great, even passing under the hurdle worked. - This is really difficult for a Giant and his dog handler!

Here is an update from Alpha's metro trips:
I am still working as an office assistant and travel by metro. Sometimes people give me strange looks and sometimes they just laugh. It is because I am the metro clown and also a stalker and an encrouching cuddler. In the morning we walk around the meadow, so I can let off some steam. That is fun, but not good for my hairstyle and cleanliness of the paws. That is why I love especially to paw to my human - left and right, both - then keep them in the lap of thehuman and try to get up to a higher level. This isn't permitted though - since I am not a lap dog. So, if I get bored, I lay down in the aisle, so nobody can pass, turn on the back and air my crown jewels. But: we also train on the walks to and from work and in the lunch break. This week's homework - to go on heel from different positions works out perfectly now!
This is an information from NABU - an organization which works for the protection of nature. They just forgot me as one of the important animals on this stone pile, so I helped them.

Mal wieder eine Schulung/ Another Seminar
Hey guys, me your Alpha - has been to a seminar accompanying Claudia. It was about organizing expositions and stuff. I wasn't the only dog being there. We had been quite in time - however there was only one small place left for us. The other particiants were very nice, strangely - Schnauzer people from Offenburg. I put myself in a comfortable position under the table and changed places now and then so everybody had the chance to pet me. I wouldn't want anybody to feel left out...
I was so relaxed that people thought I was on sedatives. However this changed when it was time to go home in the afternoon. I showed everybody that I am full of energy, jumped up and down like a mad dog and nearly knocked down Claudia.
