Prüfungstraining - Training for the exam

Nach langer Zeit waren meine Kids mal wieder zum Prüfungstraining, die Menschen haben mit ihnen einen Teil des Ablaufs der Begleithundprüfung absolviert und das geht so:

Erst wurden vier Stöcke im Boden platziert. Diese simulierten die Menschengruppe die hier normalerweise steht.
Der Hundeführer geht los und tritt mit einer scharfen Linkskurve in das Feld, danach wird es ganz durchlaufen, es folgen zwei 8er um die Stangen und ein Stopp beim Verlassen der Menschenmenge. Dann geht es ca. 10 Schritte aus der Gruppe heraus, eine Kehrtwendung und einige Schritte wieder in Richtung der Gruppe. Danach wird der Hund abgeleint und durchquert den Parcours nochmals von der anderen Seite. Beim Verlassen nochmals absitzen und - ganz wichtig - bei der Gruppe bedanken, sonst müssen die Menschen einen ausgeben. Wieder eine scharfe Linkskurve und dann dürfen die Kleinen spielen - die Menschen nennen das "den Hund auflösen"

Das Gleiche haben sie dann noch einmal mit einer richtigen Menschenmenge gemacht. Dabei darf der Hund nicht an den Menschen schnuppern. Wäre natürlich fies wenn dann einer von denen irgend etwas Leckeres bei sich hat.

Übrigens: Leckeres dürfen unsere Menschen auch nicht zur Prüfung mitnehmen, nicht einmal auf den Platz. Das heißt die kulinarische Belohnung gibt es erst wenn wir wieder beim Auto sind.

Aurora war in der ersten halben Stunde dran. Sie hat ihre Sache ganz gut gemacht, obwohl sie eigentlich die Aufgekratztere ist. Sie konnte aber viel länger still sitzen als Alpha - der hatte gestern Hummeln im Hintern!
Beim gestrigen Training war tatsächlich noch ein anderer Riesenschnauzer dabei, er heißt Jasper und ist gestern ein Jahr alt geworden.

After a long time my kids have been training for the exam again, the humans  rehearsed part of the exam for the companion dog and this was how it went:

First four sticks were placed in the ground. This is supposed to represent the human group which stands here in the exam.
The dog leader goes ahead, makes a sharp left turn in the ground, passes the whole area, does two 8s around the sticks and stops before leaving the area. Then he gets out, 10 paces, makes a 180 turn, a couple of paces again in the direction of the group. Then the dos is unleashed and the whole course is made once again from the other side. Before leaving, the dog sits down again and - very important - thanks to the group, otherwise the humans have to buy a round for the group. One more sharp turn to the left again and then the kids can play - the humans call this "dismiss the dog".

Then they made the same again with a real group of people. You are not allowed to sniff on the humans. Would be mean if there were somebody with a treat.
By the way; the humans may not bring along treats for the exam, not even on the training ground. That means: culinary reward only when we are at the car again.

It was Aurora's turn for the first half hour. She did quite well although she usually is the more excited one. However, she stayed calm and in one place much more than Alpha - yesterday he was extremely exhilarated.
There was even another giant schnauzer with us, his name is Jasper and he had his birthday, one year old.
