Balzaks Familie hat eine E-Mail mit Fotos geschickt, hier sind einige davon. Also auf dem Hundeplatz macht er schon eine richtig gute Figur - da denkt man gar nicht, dass er ein Welpe von nur 14 Wochen ist! Dafür ärgert er ab und zu die Katze - aber er ist ja noch ein Baby meinen sie..
Balzak's family sent an e-mail with pictures, here are some of them. On the dog training camp he is already quite obedient - hard to believe that he is a pup of only 14 weeks! He loves annoying the cat, though - but he is still a baby, his family says..

Vorbereitung für die Ausstellung/ Preparations for the exhibition

Hallo Leute, heute muss ich Euch mal von den Vorbereitungen für die Ausstellung erzählen. Meine beiden Kleinen sollten nämlich bei der KSA-Ausstellung auftreten. Damit sie sich noch mal richtig austoben konnten, sind sie dann am Samstagmorgen noch mal im Wiesental unterwegs gewesen. Trotz des kühlen Wetters konnten wir  meine beiden Kinder einem kleinen Bad im Fluss nicht widerstehen ..
Der Duft war schlimmer als der nach frischem Pansen am Vorabend... -
Ein Grund, endlich mal die Hundewaschanlage auszuprobieren. Unser Fazit - sehr gut durchdacht, es gibt eine Rampe zum hinauf laufen, der Mensch muss also den Hund nicht hochheben -bei einem Gewicht von ca 40 kg ist das sehr angenehm. Oben kann man den Hund anleinen. Wie bei diesen Autoselbstwaschanlagen, wirft man so lange Münzen ein, bis man den Vorgang abgeschlossen hat.
Die verschiedenen Optionen hatten wir bereits in einem anderen Post beschrieben.
Der Wasserstrahl kommt in angenehmer Wassertemperatur aus einem Zerstäuber, man kann den Hund sehr gut abwaschen. Shampoo hatten wir nicht ausprobiert, aber den Fön. Da gibt es noch Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten. Abgesehen davon dass der Schlauch einige Löcher hatte, waren beide Stufen - sensitiv und stark - sehr laut und andererseits relativ kraftlos. Das nächste Mal werden wir wohl eher ein paar Handtücher mitnehmen und die Hunde danach einfach abtrocknen.
Danach wurden sie nochmals nachfrisiert - Katzenpfoten wird ja inzwischen auf der Ausstellung verlangt - obwohl mir persönlich die breiten haarigen Tatzen besser gefallen, haben die Beiden jetzt für die nächste Zeit total zierliche Füße. Dann natürlich noch die üblichen Partien - Kopf, Ohren, Hals, kleine Korrekturen am Bauch und am Hinterteil.(Fortsetzung folgt)

Hey guys, I still have to tell you about the preparations for the exhibition. My two kids were to be presented in the KSa show. So they had a fling on Saturday morning in "Wiesental". Although it was quite cold, we - my two kids couldn't resist to have a swim in the river.
The odor was worse than fresh rumen from the evening before. 
A reason to try out the dog wash machine. So this is our conclusion - really well thought out, there is a ramp to get up, the human doesn't have to lift the dog up - with a weight of about 80 pds quite comfortable. You can put the dog on a small chain there. Like with most car washing installments, you put in coins until you have finished. I have described the different options already in the other post.
Water comes out at a good temperature like a shower, really quite easy to wash the dog. We didn't try the shampoo, but the blow drier. Could still be improved. Apart from the fact that the hose had several holes, it was quite loud and not very strong. Next time we will bring along some towels instead.
After this some tuning on the hair cut - cat's paws are asked for the show - although I prefer the large hairy ones more, the two now have tiny feet for some time. Then the usual parts - head, ears, neck, little corrections on the tummy and rear. (more soon)

Banaak hat sich gemeldet - er wird jetzt Sam genannt und hat sich gut eingelebt, seht selbst, vielen Dank für die schönen Bilder an Familie B. aus F. Wenn wir Glück haben, kommt er demnächst bei uns vorbei!

Alula besucht uns mal wieder/ Alula visits again

Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, Alula hat mal wieder zu uns gefunden und sie wurde auch gleich gebührend von allen begrüßt - das heißt, hinwerfen und ganz genau kontrollieren wie es ihr geht und wo sie die ganze Zeit war. Sie ist in Topform, geht regelmäßig auf den Hundeplatz zum Üben und bewacht die ganze Familie inklusive Enkelkinder aufs Beste. Da sie gerade "diese Frauensache" hat, musste Alpha dann leider eine Weile ins Büro und ist nicht auf dem Foto. 

We are very happy, Alula came to visit again and has been greeted by everybody in an appropriate way - controlling how she is and where she has been all the time. She is in great form and goes exercising regularly on the dog camp as well as guarding everybody in the family including grand kids. Since she has this "woman thing", Alpha had to go to the office and is not present on the picture this time.

Abschied von Balik/ Farewell to Balik

Am Wochenende ist Balik auch zu seiner neuen Familie gezogen. War noch eine schöne Zeit mit dem kleinen Wirbelwind und er hat noch Erziehung von allen Seiten genossen. Sein neuer Chef meint, er wäre ja ein Ruhiger... Wir sind gespannt auf Neuigkeiten. Sie haben auch versprochen, dass sie uns wieder besuchen und im Sommer machen wir ja wieder unser Familientreffen mit möglichst allen meinen Kindern.

On the weekend Balik moved to his new family. Was a nice time with the little rascal and he got more education from all of us. His new boss thinks that he is a quiet one ... We are looking forward to the news. They promised to visit again and in summer we will be holding our family gathering - possibly with all of my children.

Grund zum Feiern/ A reason to celebrate

Das gab es gleich zwei Mal in den letzten Tagen. Meine "Kleinen" die jetzt die "Großen" sind, hatten ihren 2. Geburtstag. Auf Facebook hat mal wieder jemand erwähnt, dass die Riesenschnauzer im 3. Jahr im Kopf wachsen. Das werden wir mal sehen, manchmal denke ich mit meinen 6 Jahren bin ich im Kopf auch noch nicht ganz ausgereift. Es gab leckeres Essen (wie immer) - mit zusätzlich Milchreis (ohne Zucker) und einer Fischgarnitur. Sah etwas seltsam aus aber absolut köstlich. Der kleine Balik hat mit uns gefeiert, er hat auch vom Geburtstagsessen abbekommen, nur eine etwas kleinere Portion - von der hat er auch nichts übrig gelassen. Es war ja auch sein letzter Abend und irgendwie haben wir das alle gespürt. Aurora hat noch stundenlang mit ihm geknuddelt

Two things to celebrate these days. My "small ones" - now the "big ones", had their 2nd birthday.  Somebody on facebook said that giant schnauzers grow their head in the third year. We will see, although I have 6 years now and am still not very mature. Yummy food (like always) with additional milky rice (without sugar) and fish decoration. Looked strange but was really good. The little Balik celebrated with us, he also got from the birthday meal, a smaller portion - and didn't leave anything. It also was his last evening with us and somehow all felt it. Aurora was cuddling with him for hours.

 

Schaut mal was Azimut-Apollo für eine tolle Torte bekommen hat. Und ein Video auf Facebook gab es auch - als er am Briefkasten meine Geburtstagskarte abholt.

Alpheratz-Samu mischt immer noch die ganze Familie inklusive Skyla auf, aber hergeben möchten sie ihn nicht.

Alpheratz-Samu is still making a riot in the whole family - Skyla included - but nobody wants to be without him.

Außerdem hat der Papa meiner Bs und ehemaliger Liebhaber Faiz ganz groß bei der Crufts in England abgeräumt!

Spaziergang im Wald mit Acrux-Hugo/ Walk in the woods with Acrux-Hugo

Davon hatten wir noch gar nicht berichtet: Letzte Woche hatte ich wieder Besuch von meinem Sohn Acrux-Hugo. Wir sind stundenlang gemeinsam durch den Wald gelaufen und haben zwischendurch noch kurz Stopp gemacht, damit die Menschen etwas trinken konnten.
Ist übrigens sehr nett und hundefreundlich hier im Flohberghaus, das müßt Ihr auch mal besuchen, wir gehen im Sommer auch immer gerne dort in den Biergarten. Da waren wir schon mit der ganzen Meute als die Großen noch ganz klein waren.
Wir sind dieses Mal mit vier Hunden und drei Menschen in die Wirtschaft und was soll ich sagen: wir waren alle ganz brav, dafür haben die anderen Hunde, die schon vor Ort waren, gebellt.
Unterwegs haben wir tatsächlich noch einen anderen Riesenschnauzer getroffen, Djella, nettes Mädchen, wir haben sie schon zu unserem Freitags Treff eingeladen, da braucht es noch ein bißchen Riesenschnauzerpower damit die Kleinen nicht zu vorlaut werden. Immerhin haben wir inzwischen schon zwei Mittelschnauzerinnen, Hope und Wilma - die sind auch sehr sportlich, schau mal auf die Fotos!

We haven't talked about this, yet: Last week my son Acrux-Hugo came to visit and we made a long walk in the wood with a little stop for the humans having a drink.
They are absolutely nice and very dog friendly in Flohberghaus, go visit them, too, we love to go in their beer garden in summer. We have already been with the whole pack there, when my two big ones were still small.
We were four dogs and three humans going inside this time. What to say: we were absolutely calm and this time it was the other dogs which were already there and barked.
While walking we met another giant schnauzer, Djella, nice girl, we invited her for the Friday gathering, too. We still need some more giant schnauzer power, otherwise the small ones become even more cheeky. At least we have two standard females now, Hope and Wilma - also very athletic, just have a look at the pics! 
Acrux-Hugo war nach dem Spaziergang total fertig und durfte in die Dusche - das liebt er nämlich wenn er mit warmem Wasser abgeduscht wird - ein Wellness-Hund eben.

Acrux-Hugo was done after the walk and was allowed under the shower - he loves to feel the warm water touchig his fur - dog who loves spa.
