Mantrailing in Gerlingen

Am Wochenende waren wir mal wieder im Mantrailing aktiv. Meine beiden Kids durften wieder ein paar kurze Trails machen und ich habe sie begleitet. Mir wurde versprochen dass ich beim nächsten THS mit darf. Nach dem Trailen durfte ich dann auch noch als Einzige mit in den Biergarten und man hat wieder mehrmals betont was für ein lieber Hund ich bin - na geht doch! Herrchen wurde gedrängelt dass er endlich aufisst damit ich dann einen Happen Pizza kriege.
War richtig nett im Örtchen, schöne Wasserstellen, Schatten und auch ein bisschen Grün. Die Menschen haben sich wieder versteckt und wir Hunde haben so getan als wüssten wir nicht dass sie direkt um die Ecke stehen und haben dann wahnsinnig überrascht getan.. Na ja, bisschen Spaß, Ihr bekommt demnächst noch einen ernsteren Artikel bei dem Ihr Einiges zum Thema Mantrailing erfahren könnt. Wir müssen ja auch immer mal wieder unserer Informationspflicht nachkommen, sonst denkt Ihr dass wir den ganzen Tag nur Quatsch machen und keine Gebrauchshunde sondern nur Sofahunde sind.

The weekend we spent another day mantrailing in the city. My kids made a couple of short trails and I kept them company. I was promised that I would be doing sports this week. After the trail I was also the only one to come to the beergarden and people said several times what a good dog I am - you see! My human was rushed eating so it was my turn afterwards to get a bite of pizza.
Really nice town, water places, shadow and some green places, too. The humans hid themselves and us dogs pretended not to know that they were just around the corner and made really surprised faces. Just kidding. You will get some more serious information in a post in the future about mantrailing. We have a duty to inform you after all, otherwise you think that we are just fooling around all day and aren't working dogs but just couch dogs.

THS im Regen/THS in the rain

Also bei solch einem Wetter trennt sich doch noch einmal die Spreu vom Weizen - nur die ganz Harten haben heute mitgemacht: Ich Alpha mit Aurora, Anton, Nero und der kleine Casper mit Frauchen. Die anderen Warmduscher sind daheim geblieben weil es in Strömen geregnet hat. Auch unsere Trainerin ließ sich dadurch nicht beirren und wir haben dieses Mal einen Hürdenlauf mit sechs Hürden gemacht.
Aurora durfte die erste Hälfte übernehmen und sie hat es wirklich gut gemacht - so erzählt man zumindest. Kann das nicht beurteilen weil ich im Auto warten musste. Dafür war es dieses Mal nicht mein Tag, vielleicht war ich auch ein bisschen ungehalten, dass ich mir die Stunde mit meiner Schwester teilen musste. Na ja, die Menschen waren inzwischen auch total durchnässt und wir freuten uns alle auf das trockene Zuhause danach. Schön war's trotzdem. Damit Ihr mal seht wie so ein Hürdenlauf aufgebaut wird, hier die Skizze:
So this is the kind of weather where you see which are the really motivated dogs and handlers here - we still were 4 teams: Me Alpha and Aurora, Anton, Nero, small Casper with their humans. All the other toe dippers have remained at home. Of course our trainer was there too and we made a hurdle run with six hurdles.
Aurora was entitled to the first half of the lesson and she did really well - so they say. Can't judge it because I had to wait in the car. However, I wasn't at my usual level this time, maybe a little disgruntled because I had to divide the lesson with my sister.. Oh well the humans had been soaking wet then, too and everybody looked forward to a dry home after this. Was great nonetheless. Here is a little sketch for you:

Alpha in der Stadt/ Alpha in town

Frauchen meinte am Montag, sie muss sie mich mal wieder stadtfein machen. Ich darf nämlich wieder mit zur Arbeit. - Also ich, Euer Alpha.
Claudia said on Monday that she had to groom me for the city. I am allowed to keep company at work again - me, your Alpha.

Mein Bart ist jetzt um einiges leichter, der hat schon fast gelebt. Was es genau war weiß ich nicht mehr, aber anscheinend nichts Leckeres, sonst hätte mir schon mal eine der Mädels den Bart abgeleckt. Ich denke mal Essensreste die mit Sand und Dreck paniert waren. Außerdem habe ich mich irgendwo gewälzt, weiß auch nicht mehr wo. Da kam auf jeden Fall eine ganz schöne Brühe in der Dusche heraus. Dieses Mal nicht zur Hundewaschanlage sondern zu Hause. Frauchen hat mich mit Leckerli rein gelockt und langsam nach vorne gelotst, bis nur noch meine Rute aus dem Spalt in der Tür raus sah. Inzwischen bin ich supersauber und nass, Frauchen dreckig und nass. Trotzdem wollte ich mich partout nicht in der Dusche schütteln sondern erst als ich ausstieg.
My beard feels less heavy now, seems that it was already alive. Don't know what exactly but nothing yummy, otherwise the girls would have picked it off the beard already. I think remainders of food mixed with sand and dirt. And then I rolled myself in something, don't remember where. Anyway, there was some brown broth getting out in the shower. This time I wasn't at the dog-wash-it-yourself but at home. She got me in the shower with treats and then made me advance further until only my tail showed outside. In the meantime I am super clean and wet, my human is dirty and wet. Anyway I didn't want to shake myself inside the shower, only when getting out.

Mein Auftritt im Büro war überraschend aber wurde wieder sehr gut aufgenommen. Ich war da ja schon zweimal als Assistent tätig und letztes Mal hatte ich sogar Besuch als ich nicht da war. Ich musste ja im Dezember schnell mal nach Hause weil meine kleinen Brüder geboren wurden und da musste ich mal kurz einen Tag Sonderurlaub wegen Geburtshilfe einlegen. Am nächsten Tag hieß es, Alpha hatte Besuch gehabt und die Nachbarin war enttäuscht dass er nicht bei der Arbeit war.

My appearance in the office was a surprise but again well received. I had been working there as an assistant twice, last time I even had a visit when I wasn't here. In December I had to go home in a hurry because my little brothers were born and I had to take a day of extra leave for helping with the birthing. The next time I was told that I had been searched for and the neighbor was deluded that I wasn't there.

Jetzt komme ich wieder mit weil meine Schwester Aurora wieder ihre Tage hat und ich nur etwas entfernt von ihr richtig entspannen kann. Fressen ist momentan noch ein Thema für mich und ich bin hin- und hergerissen: Lieber zu Hause bleiben und diesen köstlichen Duft einatmen oder mit in die Stadt kommen und meine Menschin stalken. Momentan ist das noch angesagter. Die Kollegin sagte wieder dass ich so ein lieber Kerl bin, die Mitarbeiterin hat gleich ein Selfie mit mir gemacht. Die Nachbarin ist vor und nach dem Essen vorbei gekommen.

Now I am there again because my sister Aurora has these days and I can't really relax at home. Eating is still interesting to me and I am torn between two things: staying at home and smelling this sweet perfume or going to the city and stalking my human. This is still number one to me. The colleague said that I am a nice guy, one of the employees made a selfie with me immediately. The neighbor passed before and after lunch.

 Ich durfte sogar zum Chefmeeting mitkommen und musste nicht einmal draußen auf dem Linoleum bleiben sondern durfte auch auf den Teppich. Ich muss sagen, ich war nicht wirklich gesellschaftsfähig weil ich wieder voll in den Regen kam und dann hatte ich wohl leichte Blähungen die der Chef abbekommen hatte. Er hat es kurz erwähnt aber mich trotzdem nicht aus dem Büro geworfen also alles gut.  Claudia hat aber beschlossen dass sie mir für die Zukunft auch einen Hundebademantel bei Maria kauft damit ich mich erst einmal richtig abtrocknen kann wenn ich ins Büro mitkomme.  Maria hat tolle Hundekissen und macht auch schöne Bademäntel für uns. Wie Ihr wisst, ist das Wetter ja so, dass wir dieses Jahr demnächst Reis im Garten aussäen können.

I was even allowed to participate in the boss meeting and didn't have to stay outside but in the boss office on the carpet. I must say, I was a bit misfit because I came out of the rain and I had a flatulence which got the boss. He mentioned it but didn't throw me out anyway, so everything cool. Claudia decided, however, to buy me a bathing gown at Maria's for the next time so my fur will be dry next time. Maria makes great dog beds and also beautiful bathing gowns. I guess you know that weather this year is ideal for rice planting in humidity.

Im Zug war ich auch ganz brav, ich bin zwar eher ein Autofahrer aber die Staus in die Innenstadt gefallen mir nicht. Wir versuchen dann, immer zu Zeiten zu fahren an denen nicht so viel los ist. Ich brauche nämlich ziemlich viel Platz und dann will ich Frauchen immer noch meine Pfote entgegenstrecken obwohl sie das nicht so mag wenn sie ihre Bürokleidung anhat. Ein nettes Kompliment habe ich auch wieder bekommen „Schöner Hund“ Frauchen meinte dann „aber frech“ – Antwort „Egal“

I was very good on the train, I rather prefer going by car but I really don't like the queues downtown. We tried to travel at times when there isn't so much people around. It is that I take up a lot of space and then also like to give my paw to my human and she doesn't like those imprints on her office clothes. Also got a nice compliment "Beautiful dog" - Mom"but quite impertinent" - "Doesn't matter"

 Die meiste Zeit habe ich aber an verschiedenen Stellen im Büro geschlafen und den Weg versperrt. Jetzt denken alle, dass ich immer so gechillt bin, die haben mich nicht wirklich in Action kennengelernt, da würden die sich noch wundern. Aber ich will meine Stelle als Assistent noch eine Weile behalten. Dann hatte ich noch Riesenschnauzerbesuch von Amon, den habe ich aber angebellt, der hat es bestimmt auf meine Stelle abgesehen!

Most of the time I slept in different places in the office and blocked the way. Now everybody thinks that I am chilled like this all the time. It is that they didn't get to know me in action, they wouldn't recognize me! But I still want to keep my position as assistant. Then I also had giant schnauzer visit from Amon, at this one I barked, surely he wants to steal my position.

Nach der Arbeit musste ich zuhause warten während die Mädels auf der Wiese waren und so blöde Ballspiele gemacht haben, also hinterher rennen und Ball suchen, nichts für mich als Turniersportler!

After work I had to wait at home while the girls were on the meadow and made stupid ball games like running after the ball and searching for it, nothing for me as professional sports dog!

Als die Mädels zurück waren, musste ich wieder auf den Hundeplatz zum THS Training. Wir hatten heute einen tollen Parcours und ich war richtig gut! Frauchen musste sich richtig ranhalten dass sie mitkam, war aber total begeistert und hätte mich am liebsten abgeknutscht. Anton war heute auch zum ersten Mal da. Er fand es auch ganz gut, obwohl er ziemlich viel Quatsch gemacht hat und immer in seine Leine beißen wollte. Wir haben seinem Frauchen geraten, sie solle ihn doch einfach seine Leine selber tragen lassen – da gab es doch so einen Riesen in der amerikanischen Facebookgruppe, der macht das ganz toll – aber sie meinte, er würde die Leine immer zerbeißen und das will sie dann auch nicht. 

When the girls got back I had to go to the dog park for agility training. This time we had a great course and I was doing great! Mom really had to keep up pace with me and was delighted, she nearly kissed me! Anton was here first time. He liked it but fooled a lot around always trying to bite his leash. We recommended that his mom let him carry his own leash - there was this giant in the American Facebook group who does this really well - but she said he would just kill it and she didn't want that.

Auch Nero – ein weißer Samojede war wieder da, für einen Anfänger schlägt er sich wirklich gut! Nach dem Training meinte Frauchen, dass sie sich wirklich ein Bier ohne Hund jetzt verdient hat, sie war ja den ganzen Tag mit mindestens einem von uns beschäftigt! Also, ich fühle mich definitiv turnierbereit. Als nächstes schauen wir uns mal so etwas live an und versuchen uns an einer Disziplin, beispielsweise Hindernislauf, das gefällt uns am besten. Glücklicherweise braucht man dazu keine BH-Prüfung. Frauchen von Anton fand das auch gut, der muss nämlich auch noch die BH-Prüfung machen wie wir auch. Ist auf jeden Fall eine tolle Sache damit wir Sturköpfe uns daran gewöhnen, nicht immer die anderen Hunde anzumachen und mental ist das auch nicht zu verachten
Lustig ist, dass die auf dem Hundeplatz sich gar nicht vorstellen können, dass ich im Büro so entspannt bin.

Nero, a white samoyed was here again, he is really doing well for a beginner. After the exercise mom said that she really had earned a beer without dog, she had been around at least one of us all day! So I am really feeling ready for a tournament. Next time we will visit one to see everything on site and then we will try one of the various parts, possibly an obstacle douse, that is the one we like best. Fortunately we don't have to be the BH-exam for that. Anton's mom is happy for this too, he still has to make this exam as well. Anyway, it is a great occupation for stubborn youths like us, also teaching us not to have a go at other dogs and also extremely useful in a mental aspect.
Funny that people in dog training can't believe that I am so relaxed in the office.

Hundeeis - Dog Icecream

Die Alexandra von der Facebook-Gruppe hat tolle Fotos von ihrem Hundeeis mit Gurke gepostet. Das musste Frauchen ja gleich einmal ausprobieren. Der restliche Quark und Joghurt im Kühlschrank wurde in ein Muffinblech gekippt und mit Hundekuchen verziert. Dann eine Nacht einfrieren. An sich eine tolle Idee, leider waren unsere Vorstellungen vom Verzehr ganz verschieden. Sie hatte sich ausgemalt dass wir die kleinen Kunstwerke zwischen unsere zarten Pfötchen nehmen und sie langsam und genießerisch schlecken, dabei wollte sie noch schöne Fotos machen..
Da hat sie die Rechnung aber ohne uns gemacht. Erst einmal war es schon ein Kampf, aufzupassen, dass keiner dem anderen sein Eis wegnimmt. Und dann waren die in unserem Maul verschwunden, so schnell kannst Du gar nicht gucken! Also der Aufwand stand in keinem Verhältnis zum Ergebnis. Sie hat uns schon angedroht, dass sie die nächsten einfach am Baum festmacht, aber so, dass wir gerade noch springend mit der Zunge drankommen. Dann will sie mal sehen ob wir so schnell sind oder ob das Eis dann vor sich hinschmilzt und langsam heruntertropft. In jedem Fall würde ihr das noch Zeit für ein paar Fotos geben.

Alexandra from the facebook group posted great pictures of her doggy icecream with cucumbers. So Claudia wanted to try this, too. All the cottage cheese and yogurt in the fridge were tossed into a muffin form and decorated with doggy treats. Then one night in the freezer. Actually a fantastic idea. It is just that our idea fo consuming a yummy meal are so different. She was imagining that we would take the small masterpieces between our paws and lick them slowly and with relish and she would make great photos.  She didn't consider us, though. First it was already strenuous for her to see that nobody took the doggy icecream of the other. And then they just vanished in our mouths, in a second! No good effort and effect relation! She menaced that the next ones will be fixed to the tree and in a height that we would reach them only jumping with our tongues. Then we will see if we are that fast again or if the icecream melts down and drops slowly on the ground. In any case there will be time to shoot a couple of pictures.

Hundeplatz Update/ Dog training update

Leute, das Wetter könnte auch langsam mal besser werden. Uns Riesen erschreckt ja nichts und wir gehen bei jeder Witterung nach draußen, aber dieses Matschwetter gefällt uns auch nicht so gut. Der Hundeplatz ist dreckig und rutschig und deshalb mussten die Kids wieder im Industriegebiet unseren Fortgeschrittenenkurs machen. Erst kam Aurora dran, sie freut sich ja immer wenn sie zwischendurch dem Ball nachjagen kann und hat auch sonst alle Befehle brav ausgeführt: Fuß, Sitz, Platz, kehrt. Durch das miese Wetter waren wir eine ganz kleine Gruppe, eigentlich drei Personen aber der Anton mußte extra trainieren. Schade eigentlich, er war sehr unterhaltsam und hat immer richtige Arien angestimmt wenn er irgend etwas nicht machen sollte. Eindeutig ein Talent für eine Hundesingshow - Mann, das wäre ja ein Format, das es noch nicht gibt. - oder doch? Also wenn nicht, und jemand vom Fernsehen das liest: Ihr könnt Euch die Idee gerne nehmen, das bin ich nicht böse, habe noch mehr. Allerdings möchte ich dann zumindest gefragt werden ob ich mit in der Jury sitzen darf. Ich - Eure Sissi - gehe nämlich vokal auch sehr aus mir heraus, seit die Kleinen da sind, besonders dann wenn sie mir mal wieder auf die Nerven gehen. Vielleicht stelle ich mal eine kleine Demo auf mein Blog.
In der zweiten Hälfte der Kursstunde kam Alpha dran; nachdem er sich beruhigt hatte (das dauert immer so 5 Minuten) lief er auch ganz toll die verschiedenen Gangarten. Mit dem Ball spielen ist aber überhaupt nicht sein Ding, er spielte dann lieber mit Emmi, die wieder mit ihrem Ball spielte. Die Kursleiter haben es mit Humor genommen, dieses Mal. Bei jemand anderem hätte es bestimmt gleich wieder einen Rüffel gegeben..



Hey guys, weather could definitely improve here. We are giants and not afraid of anything, any weather will bring us outside, but these muddy days aren't so nice, even for us. The dog training camp is dirty and slippery and so my kids had to make their advanced lesson again in the industrial park. First it was Aurora's turn, she loves to chase the ball during the breaks and followed all commands:heel, sit, down, turn. Due to the weather, we were a very small group, actually three people but Anton had to train for himself. Really a pity because he was quite entertaining and sang whole arias when he didn't like to do something. An absolute talent for a dog sing show - wait a minute, that doesn't exist yet, does it? Anyway, if not, and your are reading this and are from the TV, grab this idea, if you want to. I don't mind, I have lots of other ideas, but you could at least ask me to sit in the jury, then. Me - your Sissi - is going quite vocal, too, since the kids are here especially when they are getting on my nerves. Maybe I will put a small audio in my blog in the future.
In the second half of the lesson, it was Alpha's turn. After he calmed himself (this takes about 5 minutes), he walked quite well in the different paces: slow, normal, fast. Chasing the ball is not his pleasure at all, he prefers to play with Emmi, who played with her ball. The course instructors laughed away, this time. If there had been someone else, they would have gotten a rebuke, again..

Education - Erziehung

Hallo Ihr Lieben, ich bin es mal wieder, Eure Susi Sorglos, genannt Sissi. Meine Erziehungsarbeit ist in der Quantität nicht mehr so anstrengend, doch jetzt geht es auch um die Qualität und die Feinheiten, die ich den Kleinen - Alpha und Aurora - beibringe. Seht selbst, wie ich Alpha zeige was Sache ist:

Alpheratz, der alte Schmeichler hat sich schon bei allen beliebt gemacht. Skyla läßt ihn mal machen, ist ja noch ein Welpe!

Acrux geht es leider nicht so gut, er hat sich verletzt und darf momentan nicht rennen. Wir haben ihn besucht und ein bisschen unterhalten.

Aurora und Alpha verteidigen weiterhin Haus und Hof. Aurora spielt genauso gern mit dem Ball wie ich, das ist noch entwicklungsfaehig. Alpha zeigt tolle Anlagen fuer Dog Dance. Ich denke, wir werden so langsam eine gemeinsame Choreografie aufbauen. Naeheres dazu in Zukunft. Ich denke, wir werden das Lied "Happy" nehmen, das passt zu uns.

Aurora and Alpha keep protecting home. Aurora likes to play ball like me, there is still potential. Alpha shows interest for dog dance, I guess we will make a choreography together in the future. More to come soon. I guess we will take the song "Happy", what do you think?
