Hey, it's me, your Alpha! I have been on the dog training camp again yesterday. We trained for the exam. First I was barked at by a large dog with blotches. Of course I wouldn't let him do that! So - just everybody knows I won't take any disrespect from anyone I barked at any dogs present. My humans didn't like this kind of greeting, oh well..
Wir haben uns dann wieder in einer Reihe aufgestellt - wir beide ein bisschen weiter hinten damit ich mich mal beruhige wegen dieser ungebührlichen Anmache am Anfang. Die Trainerin meinte: Es kann ruhig noch jemand auf die rechte Seite stehen - DER RIESENSCHNAUZER NICHT. Ich nehme an, da hat sie wohl mich gemeint, nicht Jasper, den anderen Riesenschnauzer. Den habe ich auch gar nicht angebellt weil er immer ganz lieb ist und total mit seinen Leckerlies beschäftigt.
Dann haben wir Platz machen geübt - das kann ich perfekt, auch ohne Aufforderung!
We then stood all in line - us two a bit in the rear so I could calm down for this improper hit-on. The trainer said "Someone can still go on the right side - NOT THE GIANT SCHNAUZER. I guess she meant me, not Jasper, the other giant. I was quite sweet with him and didn't bark at me because he is very nice and only occupied with his treats.
Then we made "down" - I am perfect at it, even without asking me for it!
Die Menschen mussten mit dem Rücken zu uns stehen und um uns und andere Hunde herumlaufen. Ich habe dabei immer den Kopf gedreht, wo mein Mensch gerade läuft. Einmal hätte ich mir dabei beinahe den Hals ausgekugelt, dann musste ich doch mal meine Position wechseln - darf man nicht wie es scheint! Dann haben wir uns noch x Mal im Kreis gedreht, gelaufen, wieder im Kreis gedreht, jedes Mal gab es nach dem danach gerade sitzen ein Leckerli! Frauchen hatte schon Angst, dass ihr die Leckerlies nicht reichen und hat sie dann immer nebenher noch einmal geteilt.
The humans had to stand with the backs to us and circle around us and the other dogs. I always moved my head in the direction of my human. Once I nearly broke my neck, so I had to change position - not good! The we went in circles many times, walking, circling, sit down, get a treat. - That meant many treats and in the end my human was anxious that they weren't enough for the training, so she divided them again in two while walking.
Am besten waren aber die Pausen da bin ich zwischen den Füßen von meinem Menschen durch und habe Drehungen nach rechts und links gemacht. Da brauche ich nicht mal Leckerli dafür, das macht genau so viel Spaß wie THS. Ich bin wohl einfach der Typ Hund, der gerne eine Aktion ausführt aber nicht allzu viel Geduld hat. Dann denke ich ja auch immer mit - ich bin ja ein Schnauzer - und meine: einmal hinsetzen ein Leckerli, mehrmals hinsetzen mehrere Leckerli, um aber mehrmals hinzusitzen muss ich auch wieder aufstehen, also sofort nach dem hinsitzen wieder aufstehen dann gibt es mehr Leckerli. War eigentlich gut berechnet aber es klappt noch nicht so ganz - muss ich den Menschen wohl noch beibringen. Abends habe ich dann meiner Mama und Schwester beim Hüten der Welpen geholfen, aber das erzähle ich Euch ein anderes Mal.
I liked the breaks best, then I passed between the legs of my human and made turns on the right and the left. I don't need treats for that - that is as much fun as the THS. I guess, I am the kind of dog who likes to move and doesn't have that much patience. Plus, I think, too - after all, I am a schnauzer - and I think: sit down once, one treat; sit down several times, more treats. In order to sit down several times I also have to get up several times. This is where I still have to work on my human, I guess she just doesn't understand..
In the evening I helped my mother and sister to babysit and play with the puppies. I will tell you about that next time!
